James Breitenstein, CFA
Fund Manager and CEO

Mr. James Breitenstein owns and manages the Landsmith group of affiliated companies which began in 1995. He has now managed four successful real estate funds and was recently quoted in the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg News. He is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences. In addition to property acquisition, development and management experience, Mr. Breitenstein worked as an investment banker for ten years and was employed by the Bankers Trust Company. He is a chartered financial analyst (CFA) and a graduate of New York University, with a M.A. in Economics; he received a B.A. in Finance and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Gary Miller
Managing Director of Acquisitions

Mr Miller serves as a Managing Director for the Management Company. Mr. Miller has over 20 years of experience in real estate. He has purchased and sold over 400 homes and has extensive experience in property management of single-family and multifamily residences. In addition, he has 15 years of hands-on experience in construction management as a general contractor. From 2003 to March 2010, Mr. Miller was co-owner and general manager of Touchstone Realty, Homebuyers, Development. Mr. Miller has a certificate from LEED (Leadership in Energy and Ecological Design), and he is certified as a National Kitchen and Bathroom Designer, as a buyer and seller of HomeVestors of America and as a certified national construction contractor for both commercial and residential properties.

Tony Rosenthal
Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Tony Rosenthal brings over 30 years of real estate development experience to the Fund. He has entitled and developed approximately 16,000 lots and has constructed over 25,000 homes. He has served as a principal at Twitchell Properties and Chief Operating Officer at Del Valle Capital Corporation. Tony has also held senior positions at D.R. Horton and Western Pacific Housing. Mr. Rosenthal obtained a B.A. from the University of California at Davis.

Chang Kim
Vice President and CTO

Chang has 15 years of operating and consulting experience in risk management, high tech, and distribution. Prior to joining Landsmith, Chang spent 8 years as a founding partner of Illumant, a risk management consultancy. He also served as Director of Operations at Zyan Communications, a nationwide provider of business DSL, broadband, and Internet services where he implemented all operational initiatives. Prior to Zyan, Chang held operational management positions for the McMaster-Carr Supply Company, a private $2 billion international hardware distributor. Chang holds a B.S. in Economics from Stanford University.

Jennifer Lee
Marketing Director and Architect

Jennifer has 15 years of experience in residential design, permitting, and construction. She holds a B.A. in Architecture from the University of Oregon.
